The hotel
A Reserve among the dunes.
Zadún opened in 2019 as the first Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Mexico, on the coast of Puerto Los Cabos near San José del Cabo, beside the Puerto Los Cabos golf course. The name comes from dunas, the Spanish for the dunes that surround it. Its 115 rooms, suites and villas are spread across 42 buildings on about twenty acres, with interiors by uribekrayer.
Every room has floor-to-ceiling glass, a plunge pool, a fire pit and a butler, called a tosoani here. The spa, run with Sensei, covers some 30,000 square feet. Forbes Travel Guide rates the resort Five-Star, and in the 2026 Mexico selection the MICHELIN Guide gave it two Keys, one of three two-Key hotels on the San José del Cabo side, alongside Las Ventanas al Paraíso and One&Only Palmilla.
- Sensei spa Around 30,000 square feet, run with Sensei, the wellness company founded by Larry Ellison.
- Pools by the beach A large infinity pool and an adults-only pool on the beach, with cabanas to hire.
