The hotel
A family hotel on Elia beach.
Royal Myconian belongs to the Myconian Collection, the group of island hotels that George and Elefteria Daktylides began in 1979. Their four sons, Panos, Markos, Vangelis and Marios, run it today. The hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and keeps its own stretch of sand at Elia. It has a helipad, a chapel for weddings and a spa built around thalassotherapy.
Elia lies on the south coast, about twelve kilometres from Mykonos Town, and is the longest fine-sand beach on the island. The hotel stands above it in whitewashed Cycladic buildings, finished inside with driftwood and natural fabrics. Every room looks out to the Aegean, and the main saltwater pool sits on a deck at eye level with the sea, flanked by the restaurant and the bar.
