The hotel

Amazon stands on a headland at Agios Ioannis, on the west coast of Mykonos, about three kilometres from town. The suites climb the slope in white and charcoal grey, each turned to the sea, and across the water lies Delos, the island of Apollo.
Pools set the plan of the place. A large main infinity pool sits at the centre, and most suites have a private infinity pool of their own, several of them heated; others share one, and a few have decks with hot tubs. The hotel opens from April to October, with a spa, a hammam and a gym for the days you stay in.

Flying to Mykonos.
Mykonos airport takes scheduled flights and private jets, about fifteen minutes from Agios Ioannis by car, our estimate. In summer, direct flights come from much of Europe; all year, Athens is a short connection. In July and August parking for private jets is short, so aircraft often drop their passengers and reposition.
