The hotel

A wedding present on the hill.

The château was built in the nineteenth century, a wedding present from a cavalry officer to his bride. It took in hotel guests from 1904 and filled with parties in the 1920s. Its park of thirteen hectares climbs the hill between Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle, planted with umbrella pines and cypresses, with the Bay of Pampelonne below. A coat of arms tied to the estate is recorded as far back as 1669.

In 2019 the LOV Hotel Collection bought it for Airelles, and Christophe Tollemer spent three years on the building, the rooms and the gardens. It reopened as an Airelles hotel in 2021, with suites set in the turrets and a new pool facing the bay. France now classes it as a Palace. A thousand square metres of spa look over the bay, and the hotel's Rolls-Royce runs guests down to its own beach restaurant at Pampelonne.

  • Jardin Tropezina The hotel's beach restaurant on the sand at Pampelonne, with a menu by Jean-François Piège; guests are driven down by Rolls-Royce.
  • Airelles Spa A thousand square metres over the Bay of Pampelonne, with LBA and Valmont treatments.
  • Two pools One in the central courtyard of the château, and one in the garden looking out to sea.
