The hotel
Doha's night out, with rooms upstairs.
W Doha opened in 2009 as the first W hotel in the Middle East, with 154 W residences alongside. The building had first been planned as offices, and the London studio United Designers turned it into something louder: blue lanterns in the lobby, pop colours in the rooms, board games on the shelves. On the 29th floor, Art 29 runs changing exhibitions.
Jean-Georges Vongerichten brought two restaurants with him from the start, Market and Spice Market, and both are still here. So is Wahm, the poolside lounge with shisha and DJs, and the Crystal Lounge. The MICHELIN Guide calls the bar something of a rarity in the country, and Forbes counts these rooms among the busiest nightspots in Doha. Bring identification in the evening.
- Jean-Georges, twice Market for souk-inspired international cooking and a jazz brunch on Fridays; Spice Market for Southeast Asian food and sushi.
- Wahm A lounge with DJs, cocktails and shisha, indoors or out on the terrace by the WET pool, open until two in the morning.
- Sisley Paris Spa The hotel calls it the largest Sisley spa anywhere, with facials, massages and a salon.
Rooms & suites
