The hotel
Old crafts among the towers of Chaoyang.
Rosewood Beijing opened in October 2014 in the Jing Guang Centre at Hujialou, in the business district of Chaoyang, facing the looping tower of the CCTV Headquarters. Stewart Robertson of BARstudio did the interiors, and the brief was to show where you are: art drawn from Chinese craft runs through the lobby and the corridors, and the rooms are laid out like apartments.
Every one of the 283 rooms holds an original cloisonné piece, and none is smaller than fifty square metres, large for the city when the hotel opened. The spa, Sense, was the brand's first in Asia, with five spa suites where guests can stay the night. Under a glass dome sits the indoor pool. In 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel two Keys.
- The House of Dynasties Cantonese cooking with Zhanjiang flavours and dim sum, holding one MICHELIN star in the 2025 and 2026 Beijing guides.
- Sense, A Rosewood Spa The brand's first spa in Asia, with spa suites for an overnight stay, a yoga studio and a gym.
- The pool A heated indoor pool of about 830 square metres under a glass dome, with a jacuzzi alongside.
