The hotel

A hotel at the top of the tower.

China World Summit Wing opened in August 2010 in the upper floors of the China World Tower, which rises about 330 metres over Guomao, the business district of Chaoyang. Shangri-La runs it alongside the older China World Hotel at the foot of the complex. You check in on level 64, and the rooms take up the floors from there to level 77. Shangri-La calls it the tallest hotel in the capital.

Above them, Chi, The Spa sits on level 77, and the gym and an indoor infinity pool on level 78. Grill 79 is on the floor after that, The Lounge on level 80. The rooms averaged sixty-five square metres at opening, and those on the west side look towards the Forbidden City. China World Mall and the metro wait at the foot of the tower, a lift ride down.

  • The pool on level 78 An indoor infinity pool in the health club, with the city spread out beyond the glass.
  • Grill 79 The signature restaurant, with steaks and a view across the skyline from the seventy-ninth floor.
  • Chi, The Spa Shangri-La's spa on level 77, with Chinese massage and a herbal steam room.
