The hotel
Across from the Chancellery.
The hotel opened in May 2014 as one of the first buildings of Europacity, the new quarter growing up between Hauptbahnhof and the Spree. Ortner & Ortner of Berlin designed it as part of a group of four blocks on the west side of Washingtonplatz, each in a different material and read together as one. Strauss & Partner developed it and leased it to Steigenberger for twenty years.
Its name comes from the view. Across the bend of the Spree stand the Federal Chancellery and, a little further on, the Reichstag, both a few minutes away on foot. The building has eight storeys and about 23,000 square metres, with a conference floor below and the spa at the top, where the windows look straight at the Chancellery and the river.
- Spa on the roof Three saunas, a steam bath, relaxation rooms and an outdoor terrace on the top floor, with massages and personal training.
- The station at the door Berlin Hauptbahnhof is across the square, with the Airport Express to BER and trains to the rest of Germany.
- Room for a meeting Fourteen conference rooms over two floors, the hall on the ground floor holding up to 400 guests.

- Rooms Superior to Grand Deluxe Four categories of room, each soundproofed against the city and the railway.
