The hotel
A villa named for a queen.
The house at Kurfürstendamm 160 went up in 1904 as a town villa on the western stretch of the boulevard. Pierre Ehret and Sven Schimank opened it as a private hotel in 2003, and it is still run by their company. The couture interior designer Etchika Werner furnished it. The 47 units range from 45 to 117 square metres, which puts them closer to apartments than to hotel rooms.
The hotel takes its name from Queen Louise of Prussia, wife of Friedrich Wilhelm III, the queen of hearts, as the hotel calls her. Most of the 47 suites have a separate bedroom and living room, many a study and a winter garden or balcony, and all a kitchen. The house also has a library, a courtyard garden and a hair salon.
- A kitchen in every suite Integrated in some, fully equipped in others, including the family rooms. It suits long stays.
- Library and garden The villa keeps its own library, with a courtyard garden behind the house.
- Louisa's SPA A pool with a counter-current, sauna, steam bath, gym and massage, plus a hair salon in the house.
