The hotel

A royal commission on the Concorde.

Louis XV commissioned the building in 1758, and Ange-Jacques Gabriel built it in the neoclassical style on the Place de la Concorde. In 1778 the first treaty between France and the young United States, recognising its independence, was signed in the Salon des Aigles. The house first took paying guests in 1909, and for more than a century the name Crillon has stood for a grand Paris hotel.

Rosewood closed it for four years and reopened it on 5 July 2017. Aline Asmar d'Amman led the design with Tristan Auer, Chahan Minassian and Cyril Vergniol, and Karl Lagerfeld decorated the two Grands Appartements overlooking the square. There are now 78 rooms, 36 suites and ten signature suites, a Sense spa with a pool underground, and two MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 selection.

  • Les Grands Appartements Two suites over the Place de la Concorde, decorated by Karl Lagerfeld in the spirit of the eighteenth-century house.
  • Sense, A Rosewood Spa Built during the restoration, with an infinity pool below ground, treatment rooms and a gym.
  • Les Ambassadeurs The bar, with sixty seats, pouring champagne and cocktails with caviar and lobster rolls.

Rooms & suites

Rooms and suites on the square.

Four Paris designers shaped the rooms after the restoration, under Aline Asmar d'Amman as artistic director.
