The hotel
A department store turned to face the river.
Henri Sauvage designed this building for La Samaritaine almost a century ago, in the Art Deco style, on the bank of the Seine facing the Pont Neuf. When LVMH restored the old department store, it gave the river side to its hotel house, Cheval Blanc. Peter Marino and Edouard François reworked the interior, keeping the bay windows that now frame the river from every room and all four restaurants.
The hotel opened on 7 September 2021 with 72 rooms, 46 of them suites. Works by Vik Muniz and the Lalannes hang in the public rooms, and Sophie Mallebranche wove metal for the staircase. On the seventh floor a winter garden of 650 square metres looks right round Paris. In 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave it three Keys, and France named it a Palace.
- The pool A 30-metre indoor pool beneath the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc, with a gym and a Rossano Ferretti hair salon alongside.
- Le Tout-Paris The brasserie on the seventh floor, with a terrace over the Seine and the rooftops of the Left Bank.
- Plénitude Arnaud Donckele's dining room on the first floor, with pastry by Maxime Frédéric, holds three MICHELIN stars.

Suites make up most of the house, and each room looks out through a wide bay window towards the river.
