The hotel
A hotel grown from a brasserie.
Fouquet's has served the Champs-Élysées since 1899. In the 1990s the Barrière family bought the brasserie together with seven buildings around it, between the avenue and the avenue George V. The architect Édouard François joined them into one hotel, and Jacques Garcia decorated it in black, gold and mahogany. It was inaugurated in October 2006 and took its first guests that November.
The hotel closed in early 2017 for works and reopened on 1 July that year. Each room has its own butler, and guests fill in a preference form before they arrive. In June 2026 the hotel joined the short list of French Palaces, the highest distinction for a French hotel, and the MICHELIN Guide lists it in its hotel selection.
- The brasserie Fouquet's itself, on the Champs-Élysées, still cooks classic brasserie dishes, with input from Pierre Gagnaire.
- Two hidden bars L'Escadrille, hung with black and white portraits of aviators, and Le Marta, reached through a bookcase.
- Spa Diane Barrière A covered pool of about fifteen metres, a water circuit and a gym with a coach.
