The hotel

Floating boxes on the water.

The Mexican architect Miguel Ángel Aragonés built the resort as a set of white cubic volumes, which he calls floating boxes, set among shallow reflecting pools on the hotel zone of San José del Cabo. Clean lines, cantilevers and deep shadows do the work, and at night the paths between the pools are lit from below. Rooms follow the same rule: white walls, Poliform furniture and glass from floor to ceiling.

In 2026 the resort set out to restore the Water Mirrors, its reflecting pools, to Aragonés' first design, with the new look due to be unveiled in late September. NIDO, the nest-shaped Japanese restaurant, grows from 54 seats to 80 with a sushi counter, and Nodo Market, led by executive chef Salvatore Molina, joins the bars LUMA and Archaea. The old town of San José is seven minutes away by taxi.

  • The Water Mirrors The still pools that wrap the buildings and give the resort its look, now restored to the architect's design.
  • Cinema and gallery A screening room with daily films and an art collection by emerging international artists, among them a mural by Spencer Mar Guilburt.
  • For families The V Team Kids Club for ages four to eleven, with a pool of its own, and villas large enough for ten guests.
