The hotel
Behind the mountain at Pedregal.
The resort opened in 2009 on 25 acres at the foot of the Pedregal cliffs, on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. The only way in by road is the Dos Mares tunnel, 300 metres long and privately owned, which guests ride through by golf cart under chandeliers.
It traded as The Resort at Pedregal until Waldorf Astoria took it on in 2019. In 2024 Forbes rated hotel and spa at five stars for the seventh year running. A refresh finished in autumn 2025 lightened every room, extended the adults' pool along the beach and gave El Farallon, the restaurant on the cliff, a daytime menu.
