The hotel

Glass above the Costa Verde.

Miraflores Park opened in 1996 on the Malecón de la Reserva, the clifftop road that runs along the Lima coast. Its glass front faces the Pacific and reflects it back, and a small park wraps around the base of the building, between the road and the residential streets of Miraflores. Barranco, the old bohemian district, is about fifteen minutes away on foot along the cliffs.

Over three decades it has hosted exhibitions, diplomatic meetings and visitors such as Paul McCartney and Claudia Schiffer. The rooms start at junior suites, with marble and granite bathrooms, and the ocean side looks down on the Costa Verde. Breakfast is served in the Observatory on the eleventh floor, next to the pool, and dinner downstairs at Tragaluz, which cooks Peruvian produce with ideas from abroad.

  • The Observatory Breakfast eleven floors up, with the ocean on one side and the city on the other.
  • Tragaluz The main restaurant, modern Peruvian cooking, with cooking classes and tastings arranged by the hotel.
  • The spa Massages and facials made with ingredients from the Peruvian Amazon, with a sauna and gym close by.
