The hotel
A summer house in Barranco.
The French architect Claude Sahut designed the mansion in 1914, in the Belle Époque style, as a summer house for a Lima family in Barranco. In the 1920s it served as the summer residence of President Augusto Leguía. After restoration it opened as a hotel in 2013, with a three-storey annex added next door. The Atelier rooms in the old house are the most sought after.
Art fills the lobby, the bar, the restaurant and the lounge upstairs, and the hotel works with the Lucía de la Puente gallery next door, whose openings guests can attend. It is the only Relais & Châteaux hotel in Lima. In 2025 the MICHELIN Guide gave Hotel B one of Peru's first Keys. Breakfast is laid out in La Biblioteca and on the patio, and at weekends brunch moves up to the roof.
- The art Works hang throughout the public rooms, and the B-ART shop sells smaller editions of pieces shown in the hotel.
- Sundowner Deck The roof terrace looks over Barranco to the sea, with brunch there at weekends.
- Afternoon tea Served in La Biblioteca, where breakfast is also laid out.
