The hotel
A wedding gift on Calle Posadas.
Félix de Álzaga Unzué had the mansion built for his bride, Elena Peña, and it was finished in 1920 to designs by the architect Robert Prentise. French in style, it stands in its own garden in Recoleta. The hotel's main restaurant takes her name. The mansion was restored in 2007 and now holds the hotel's grandest suites and four function rooms opening onto the lawn.
Four Seasons opened here in April 1992, with a modern tower beside the old house. The tower's upper rooms look out over the city and the river. In October 2025 the hotel received two Keys in the first MICHELIN selection for Argentina, and it kept them in 2026.
- La Mansión Three floors of suites and salons in the 1920 house. The Presidential Suite has a terrace over the garden and three crystal chandeliers.
- A pool outdoors A heated pool in the garden beside the mansion, the only outdoor pool in Recoleta according to the hotel.
- Cielo Spa The hotel spa, with an 80-minute Porteño massage as its signature, and a gym of 700 square metres over the garden.
