The hotel
A Korean group on Gun Beach Road.
Lotte Hotel Guam opened on 30 June 2014 in the buildings of the former Aurora Resort & Spa, which had closed the summer before. The Korean group took a long lease on the site and refitted it, and it still runs the hotel, though the property itself changed owners in December 2018. The land runs to almost 28,000 square metres along the shore.
There are two buildings: the Tower Wing of eighteen storeys with 150 rooms, and the Island Wing with 72. Every room has a balcony of its own, and most of them look out to sea. The hotel sits on Gun Beach Road, at the Gun Beach end of the Tumon strip, about five minutes on foot from the shops and restaurants of Pleasure Island.
