The hotel

The first of the international names.

When it opened on 19 May 2006, Kempinski called Barbaros Bay the first international five-star hotel around Bodrum. It stands about 14 kilometres from the town, on the cliffs above Barbaros Bay, in grounds of some 62,000 square metres. All of it is whitewashed.

Every one of the 173 rooms looks at the sea from a balcony or terrace. At the foot of the cliffs lies a sandy beach with a Blue Flag, split into a family side and the Silent Beach for adults, where phones stay in the room. The spa opened with the hotel and covers 5,500 square metres.

  • Sanitas Spa Some 5,500 square metres, with a heated indoor pool, hammam, saunas and steam rooms, and a massage cabana down on the beach.
  • Silent Beach An adults-only stretch of the private beach where mobile phones are not allowed.
  • From the sea A private marina, diving, surfing and yachts for hire along the coast.
