The hotel
On the cliffs, in the city.
Antalya's centre ends at the sea in a line of cliffs, and Akra is built along their edge on the Lara road. It has taken guests since 2014, first as Akra Barut, and now has 471 rooms. In 2023 it left the Barut group and became Akra Antalya, under the Akra Hotels name, whose other hotels run along the coast from Kemer to Didim.
There is no sand below. A lift takes guests down the rock to a private platform, with the Beydağları mountains across the bay and a diving school in summer. Above it sit six pools, among them an infinity pool of 331 square metres. The hotel hosts the Akra Jazz Festival, and a Meze Festival sets out hundreds of small plates by the sea.
- The platform beach Reached by the hotel lift, on the rocks facing the Beydağları range. Beach and outdoor pools run from April to November.
- Penthouse suites Three suites on the top floors, from the 98-square-metre Infinity Suite to the Panorama Suite of 210 square metres.
- Jazz The 251 Soul hosts live jazz, blues and soul, and the hotel runs its own jazz festival.
