The hotel

A gallery with bedrooms.

The iDesign is a modern building in green surroundings on Via del Serrone, just outside the old town of San Marino. The historic centre is about a kilometre away on foot, uphill, and the Palazzo Pubblico a little further. From the terrace the view runs from the summit of Monte Titano and its towers down to the Adriatic coast, and from the suite windows you can pick out Rimini and Riccione.

Since 2015 the hotel has gathered art and crafts, each piece chosen in the region it comes from. Each floor is given to a continent, the third to Africa and the fourth to Japan, and paintings by Rossano Ferrari of Modena hang along the corridors. Works by Adriano Maraldi, Gianni Guidi, Luciano Navacchia and Roberto Valisi are on show, and all are for sale. The hotel is also the national seat of the Japan-San Marino Friendship Society.

  • The terrace A view from the old town and Monte Titano down to the Adriatic coast. There is a jacuzzi for the end of the day.
  • Art for sale Paintings and objects hang in the corridors and rooms, and you can book breakfast with the artists.
  • For cyclists A bike room with hooks for road and mountain bikes, e-bikes to hire by the day and a garage watched around the clock.
