The hotel
A fish restaurant that became a hotel.
In 1880 Pierre Lottier opened a seafood restaurant on the shore at Beaulieu and called it La Réserve. In 1905 he added ten bedrooms, and the hotel grew from there into the Florentine-style villa that stands on the water today, halfway between Nice and Monaco. It is classed five stars today and belongs to The Leading Hotels of the World, and the old name has stayed on the door.
It keeps its Belle Époque rooms and its small scale: 39 rooms, suites and villas, the most asked-for with a terrace or balcony over the sea. The MICHELIN Guide promoted it to two Keys in 2026. Le Restaurant des Rois, run by Julien Roucheteau, holds one Michelin star. The spa, run by La Prairie, was designed to recall an ocean liner, and the heated seawater pool sits at the edge of the water. The hotel closes each winter.
- The pool on the sea A heated seawater pool of about 185 square metres, at the edge of the Mediterranean, with its own bar.
- The Spa by La Prairie A spa designed to recall an ocean liner, with a hammam, run with the Swiss skincare house.
- Two villas Villa Victoria and Villa Mistinguett, for guests who want a house of their own inside the hotel.
