The hotel

A small house on the gulf.

Devasom sits on a dead-end lane off the Bangkok highway, between Cha-am and Hua Hin, so traffic stays out of earshot. The buildings are colonial in style, painted pale blue and white, and you enter through an open-air lobby with an inlaid floor, antique armchairs and orchids. A library with a chequerboard floor holds a gramophone, a telescope and shelves of old encyclopaedias.

The MICHELIN Guide listed the hotel in 2025 and gave it its first Key in 2026. The beach in front is rocky and the tide runs far, so the hotel keeps a sandy patch with loungers; most guests swim in the tiered infinity pool. A free shuttle runs into Hua Hin a few times a day, about twenty minutes by car.
