The hotel
A tower on the main square.
The Tuushin opened in 2013, a tower of twenty-five floors on Prime Minister Amar Street. Sükhbaatar Square, with the Government Palace on its north side, is a hundred metres away, and the National Gallery of Modern Art stands just round the corner. Some rooms look straight down on the square; the Presidential Suite faces the mountains to the south. There are 198 rooms in all.
It belongs to the Premier tier of Best Western, and the hotel was renovated in 2024. Two conference halls are fitted for simultaneous interpreting, and breakfast comes with every room. The National Museum and the Opera and Ballet Theatre are under ten minutes on foot, and Gandan Monastery is less than two kilometres west. The Zanabazar Museum of Fine Arts is about a kilometre away.
