The hotel
A conservancy camp, rebuilt.
Ol Seki stands on a low hill in the Naboisho Conservancy, which borders the Masai Mara National Reserve, and the MICHELIN Guide sums the camp up as "no crowds, no convoys". The tents are twelve-sided, with timber floors and canvas walls, set well apart, and each has a wide veranda with leather armchairs, linen curtains and handwoven rugs inside. Game drives are relaxed and flexible: guests choose when to go out and how long to stay.
The Hemingways Collection, which also runs Hemingways Nairobi and a camp in the Mara North Conservancy, reopened Ol Seki in 2022 after an upgrade. The Nina tents gained folding glass fronts, higher ceilings and freestanding baths. The Simba villa was rebuilt with a plunge pool, and the dining room became one open space with a bar, looking over the pool to the Koiyaki plains.

Getting there
Flying to Masai Mara.
Long-haul flights and private jets land at Jomo Kenyatta in Nairobi. Daily safari flights from Wilson land about ten minutes from camp, and the whole trip from Wilson usually takes under two hours. By road from Nairobi allow five to six hours.
