The hotel
A small hotel above the lake.
In 2019 Burundi's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism graded the country's hotels against East African Community criteria. Of thirty-seven establishments, three were given five stars, all of them in Bujumbura, and the Belair Résidence was one of them. It is a small hotel, with thirty air-conditioned rooms, a reception open around the clock, room service and a concierge.
It stands on Avenue Bel Air in Kiriri, a quarter on the hills above the city. Some rooms have balconies that look over the roofs of Bujumbura to Lake Tanganyika, the second-deepest lake in the world; others have a sitting area. On site are a restaurant, an outdoor pool, a spa with a sauna and a fitness room, and a free shuttle runs to the airport.
- Lake views Several rooms have balconies facing the city and Lake Tanganyika.
- Pool and spa An outdoor pool, a spa and sauna, and a fitness centre.
- Airport shuttle The hotel runs a free shuttle to and from Melchior Ndadaye International.
