The city
The island and the lagoon.
Palm Beach is a narrow island, with the Atlantic on one side and the Lake Worth Lagoon on the other, joined by bridges to West Palm Beach on the mainland. Henry Flagler's railway and hotels made it a winter resort more than a century ago, and his mansion, The Breakers and the shops of Worth Avenue still set its tone.
The season is winter. From December to April the days are 24–28 °C, the rain is light and the sea stays at 24–25 °C. From May to October the heat, the humidity and the rain build, and the tropical storm risk is highest in August and September.

The county's main airport sits just west of West Palm Beach. Formerly Palm Beach International, it became President Donald J. Trump International in July 2026, and its airline code changed from PBI to DJT on 18 August 2026.

Dry in winter and wet in summer. December to April is the season: highs of 24–28 °C, modest rain and a sea of 24–25 °C. May turns humid and wet, September brings the most rain, and tropical storms are likeliest from August to October.
