The hotel
A courtyard on Washington Street.
North Block sits on Washington Street, the main street of Yountville, a few minutes on foot from The French Laundry. The hotel is built around a courtyard on two levels, laid out in a Tuscan manner with a large fountain, rose beds, outdoor fires and places to sit outdoors. It belongs to the Mosaic Hotel Collection, and guests borrow its bicycles for free to ride around the town and out among the vines.
There are only twenty rooms. Those on the ground floor open onto patios; upstairs, balconies face the courtyard or the hills around the town. Most have a fireplace, and the bathrooms come with heated floors, soaking tubs and rain showers. Upstairs, some rooms look out over the Yountville hills and the valley floor. The MICHELIN Guide has given the hotel two Keys each year since 2024.

Flying to Napa.
San Francisco International is about an hour and a half by car, and Oakland and Sacramento about an hour each. Private jets can land at Napa County Airport, about 20 minutes south by our estimate; there is no customs there, so flights from abroad clear first at an airport of entry such as San Francisco or Oakland.
