The hotel
Twenty-five floors near the top.
Landmark 81 rises 461 metres beside the Saigon River in Binh Thanh, the tallest building in Vietnam. Work began in December 2014, the crown went on in April 2018, and the tower was inaugurated that July. Atkins designed it for the Vingroup developer Vinhomes, Arup engineered the structure. It anchors the Vinhomes Central Park estate on the river's west bank, and the observation deck, SkyView, fills floors 79 to 81.
The hotel fills floors 47 to 71. The pool and pool bar sit on the 47th, The Cloud on the 48th, and the rooms start on the 49th, every one with glass from floor to ceiling. Oriental Pearl is on the 66th, the Presidential Suite on the 68th and the club lounge on the 71st. The hotel joined Marriott's Autograph Collection in September 2022.

Getting there
Flying to Ho Chi Minh City.
Tan Son Nhat International, which handles both scheduled flights and private jets, is 11.7 kilometres away. Allow about 30 minutes by car, our estimate, more at rush hour. Long Thanh, the new airport in Dong Nai, is due to open on 1 December 2026 and to take long-haul routes from late March 2027.
