The hotel
A long building over the bay.
Caresse opened in the summer of 2015 on the Asarlık shore, about ten minutes by car from Bodrum's centre. The building is long and slim, four floors above the water, with rooms on two of them and every one facing the Aegean. On the landward side the corridors are open to the air and planted, like living balconies.
Inside, the materials are polished stone and dark wood, with tables topped in petrified wood and mirrors set with mother-of-pearl. Below the terraces lies a small crescent of sand with teak decks over the sea, where Buddha-Bar Beach runs from morning into the evening. Gulets and speedboats can be hired for the bays along the peninsula.
- Spa Caresse Two floors and 1,600 square metres, with a hammam, an indoor pool and treatments using the house skincare line.
- On the water An infinity pool above the shoreline, a private beach and decks that make a saltwater pool of the bay.
- Paros in Bodrum Barbarossa and La Zucca, two restaurants brought over from the Greek island, sit beside Buddha-Bar Beach.
