The hotel
The Sina family's first hotel.
The palazzo went up early in the nineteenth century on ground once held by the monastery of Sant'Anna, on Via Il Prato at the western edge of the old city. Count Ernesto Bocca bought it in 1958 and opened it two years later as the first hotel of what became Sina Hotels. It now belongs to Marriott's Autograph Collection, and Santa Maria Novella station is a short walk away.
The house was last renovated in 2017. The Royal Suite on the piano nobile is the showpiece: Empire furniture, high ceilings, a fireplace and decoration protected by Italy's fine arts authority. Behind the building, a garden with statues surrounds a swimming pool, a rare thing in central Florence. Since 2021 Harry's Bar The Garden has served lunch and dinner beside it. Six rooms on the top floor have balconies over the city.
- A pool in the garden An outdoor pool among trees and statues, open in the warm months, a few minutes on foot from the station.
- Harry's Bar The Garden Run with the Bechi family of Harry's Bar Firenze, with tables by the pool for lunch, dinner and cocktails.
- Wellness A gym, sauna and Turkish bath, with treatments on request.

- No. The hotel is in the MICHELIN Guide's selection but holds no Key in 2026.
- Does Sina Villa Medici have a pool?
- Yes, an outdoor pool in the garden, open in season. Few hotels in central Florence have one.

- We found nothing to link it to the Medici family. The building is an early nineteenth-century palazzo on the site of the monastery of Sant'Anna, and has been a hotel since 1960.

- Yes. We arrange Business and First Class seats on scheduled airlines and private jet charter to Florence, with one final price, our margin included. The hotel is booked with the hotel or through our booking partner.
