The hotel
A farm that kept farming.
Cascioni was a family farm, a Gallurese stazzo with its fields and olive groves, set between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia. The farmhouse buildings have been turned into a small hotel, with interiors that borrow from traditional Sardinian building. Around them lie almost twenty hectares and some three thousand olive trees. There are only fifteen suites, each with a patio, a garden and a pool of its own.
The land still works. There is an oil mill, and the olives are picked and pressed each October; the oil goes to the kitchen and the spa. An organic vegetable garden, an orchard, beehives and a hen house supply Ulìa, the restaurant. Guests can join cookery and craft classes, or go sailing; the sea at Baia Sardinia is a kilometre away.
- From the estate Ulìa cooks Sardinian and Gallurese dishes from the garden, with a full plant-based menu beside the main one.
- Spa in the olive grove Treatments with the estate's own olive oil, sea salt and herbs, a heated pool and a sauna.
- Three more tables A shuttle runs to the sister restaurants, among them Cutter Lounge on the beach at Cannigione.
