The hotel
A Meliá hotel, made over in eight months.
For years this was the Meliá Banús. A refurbishment costing more than twenty million euros turned it into the first ME by Meliá in Andalusia. The builders finished in eight months, and the doors reopened on 1 July 2025, with a party for the launch on 24 July.
ASAH Studio, led by the architect Álvaro Sans, did the interiors. Rooms look over the sea, the Sierra Blanca or the gardens. At the top sit two penthouses of 300 and 400 square metres, one with its own pool. The ME+ programme runs studio visits with local artists and electric-boat trips along the coast.
- The beach club The pool club facing the Mediterranean, with music and cocktails from midday until sunset.
- La Neta Tacos, shared plates and cocktails in the gardens.
- ME+ Visits to artists' studios and trips along the coast by electric boat.
