The hotel
The first Grand Hyatt in the capital.
The hotel opened on 1 June 2018, the first Grand Hyatt in Abu Dhabi and the second in the Emirates after Dubai. It occupies the Emirates Pearl tower at the western end of the Corniche, and the designers took the natural pearl, once the wealth of this coast, as their theme. From the Grand Club lounge on the twenty-sixth floor the view takes in Emirates Palace, the Presidential Palace and the Founder's Memorial.
Below it runs the Corniche promenade and its public beaches. The tower holds 332 rooms, 36 suites up to the Palatial Royal Suite, and sixty serviced apartments of one or two bedrooms, from about 90 to 140 square metres, each with a private balcony. A whole floor is given to wellness, with outdoor terraces, the Lum'a Spa and a gym. Events have a floor of their own, with twelve meeting rooms opening onto terraces, and the Al Bateen Ballroom has a separate entrance.
- The infinity pool An outdoor pool fifty metres long, the length of an Olympic pool.
- Lum'a Spa Separate areas for men and women, a hammam, sauna and steam, on a wellness floor with its own terraces.
- Grand Club The club lounge on the twenty-sixth floor, looking over the skyline and the Gulf.
