The hotel
Five towers at the end of the Corniche.
Etihad Towers is a group of five glass towers designed by the Australian firm DBI Design, begun in 2006 and finished in October 2011. The hotel occupies Tower 1, 277 metres and 69 floors, on the western end of the Corniche near Emirates Palace. Tower 2 next door is the tallest at 305 metres, and its 74th floor holds the Observation Deck at 300, free for hotel guests.
The hotel took the Conrad name on 1 October 2020. Inside, the lifts are lined with agate and the floors laid with petrified wood, and the lobby rises behind several storeys of glass. Twelve restaurants and bars run from the beach to Ray's Bar on level 62. Down at sea level there are three pools and a beach club on the Corniche. Film fans may know the building from Furious 7, in which the hotel makes an appearance.
