The hotel
A hotel inside the hotel.
Wynn Las Vegas opened just after midnight on 28 April 2005, on the land where the Desert Inn had stood since 1950. Steve Wynn kept the old golf course and raised a tower of 45 storeys and 613 feet, at the time the tallest building in Nevada. Roger Thomas did much of the interior design. Floors with a four in the number are skipped, so the top floor is labelled 60.
The Tower Suites are the upper part of the resort, run as a separate hotel with its own entrance from the south gate and a side door through an atrium with a koi pond. They took a five-star rating from Mobil in 2008, and in 2026 Forbes Travel Guide gave them five stars for the twentieth year running, the longest such record in Las Vegas.
- Your own way in Arrive at the south gate, check in at the Tower Suites lobby and ride private lifts to your floor, well away from the gaming tables.
- A pool for suite guests The Tower Suites pool has its own cabanas, and Terrace Pointe Café looks over it.
- Golf on the Strip The Wynn Golf Club, redesigned by Tom and Logan Fazio and reopened in 2019, is the only course on the Strip. Executive Suites can look out over it.
