The hotel
A tailor's palazzo for the Ciprianis.
The Bernasconi family built the palazzo in 1910 on Via Palestro, across the road from the public gardens now named after Indro Montanelli and the natural history museum. From the late 1990s it housed the fashion house of Gianni Campagna, one of the best known tailors in Milan. After his death in 2017 the building was sold, and the Cipriani family chose it for their first Casa Cipriani in Italy.
The first had opened in New York in 2021, in the Battery Maritime Building. Milan followed in the spring of 2023. The Florentine architect Michele Bönan designed the interiors with Venini glass, Flos lamps and Dedar fabrics, and kept only fifteen bedrooms. The rest of the building is a members' club: restaurant, living room, club room and a spa over two floors.
- The spa About 1,000 square metres on two levels by Studio Apostoli, with seven treatment rooms, a saltwater pool and a hammam vaulted in red French marble.
- The club Hotel guests share the Club Restaurant, the Living Room and the spa with Milanese members.
- A Bellini to start Guests are welcomed with the drink Giuseppe Cipriani created in Venice in 1948, and the menus carry the family's classics, carpaccio among them.
