The hotel
Giorgio Armani on Via Manzoni.
The building at Via Manzoni 31 was finished in 1937 to a design by Enrico A. Griffini, in the rationalist style of the time. In 2011 it opened as the second Armani hotel, after the one in Dubai, a project Giorgio Armani developed with Emaar Properties. It has 95 rooms and suites, from Deluxe rooms of up to 44 square metres to Signature Suites of more than 190 over two floors.
Inside, every room opens through a small vestibule, and the bathrooms are built for two. The public rooms are at the top, on the seventh and eighth floors, in a glass crown with views across the roofs of Milan. Each guest has a Lifestyle Manager, a single point of contact from the booking onwards. Armani/SPA fills the eighth floor, and the restaurant is listed in the MICHELIN Guide.
- Armani/SPA The whole eighth floor, 1,000 square metres, with six treatment rooms, a couples' suite, a relaxation pool, a sauna and a steam bath.
- Armani/Ristorante On the seventh floor, in black marble and backlit onyx, with a chef's table in the kitchen. It is listed in the MICHELIN Guide.
- Bamboo Bar A lounge and bar beside the restaurant, looking out over the city.
