The hotel
Four floors on the open Atlantic.
Four Seasons opened here in February 1994, on South Ocean Boulevard, a short drive south of Worth Avenue. The architect Leo Daly kept the building low: four storeys, set between the coast road and a private stretch of beach that the resort calls the widest on the island. Seagrape trees shade the sand, and the pool deck looks straight out over the ocean. Worth Avenue, the Norton Museum and the polo fields of Wellington are all within reach by car.
In 2018 and 2019 the London designer Martin Brudnizki redid the whole resort. The lobby was rebuilt, the rooms were dressed in pistachio and rose, and new Cabana Terrace rooms opened onto the pool deck. Florie's, the restaurant he designed for Mauro Colagreco of Mirazur, opened in November 2018. Its name joins Florida with the chef's love of gardens. Today the resort holds one MICHELIN Key and Five Stars from Forbes, the only hotel on the island with that rating.

The county airport, renamed President Donald J. Trump International in July 2026, is about 20 minutes away by car. Private jets use the same airport, where Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation and Signature run FBOs on the south side of the field.
