The hotel
A sixties hotel on the right bank.
Marcel Jacquignon designed the building, and it opened on 18 May 1962 on Quai Wilson, the stretch of right bank named after Woodrow Wilson. From the terrace and the upper floors the view runs across the lake to Mont Blanc. Thirty years later the owners began a renovation and extension, started in 1992, and the hotel reopened in 1996 under its present name, Hotel President Wilson.
It joined The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott, in 2000, and went through a second large renovation between 2007 and 2010. Today it has 226 rooms, Switzerland's first Spa La Mer and a heated pool on the terrace above the quay. Bayview holds a MICHELIN star and Arabesque cooks Lebanese food every evening. At the top, the Royal Penthouse Suite fills the whole eighth floor, 1,680 square metres in all.
- The terrace pool A heated outdoor pool on the Rive Droite terrace, free for hotel guests from 10 am to 6 pm, with the Summerhouse bar beside it.
- Bayview Danny Khezzar's dining room, one MICHELIN star, with Lake Geneva beyond the windows.
- Spa La Mer The first Spa La Mer in Switzerland, open daily from 11 am to 8 pm, with a private spa suite.
