The hotel
The Astoria, made over.
For years the building on the Plaça de Rodrigo Botet was the historic Hotel Astoria Palace. It closed for renovation in 2019 and came back in the summer of 2021 as Only YOU, part of the Palladium Hotel Group. The Plaça de l'Ajuntament is a hundred metres away, the cathedral a short walk, and metro lines 3, 5 and 9 stop close by, so the whole old town is on foot.
The interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán took the Mediterranean as his brief and filled the rooms with plants. The 191 rooms climb eight floors. Above them, on the ninth, El Mirador looks out in every direction over the rooftops. The main floor, with its cocktail bar and a dining room opening onto a terrace, is meant for the city as much as for hotel guests.

Getting there
Flying to Valencia.
Valencia Airport at Manises is about ten kilometres away, and the hotel gives the drive as about twenty minutes. Private jets use the same airport, through the general aviation terminal; metro lines 3 and 5 also run from the airport into the centre.
