The hotel

Six village houses and an orchard.

Alaçatı has gone by many names: Agrilia in antiquity, Alacaatli under the Ottomans, and Alatzata in the nineteenth century, a Greek name linked to the salt lakes nearby. Today it is known for its stone houses of the Ottoman era, its windmills and the vineyards around it. Alavya opened here in 2014, on the site of an old open-air cinema set in an orchard.

Rana Erkan Tabanca and Erol Tabanca founded the hotel. They joined six houses around a shaded garden, and Hakan Ezer, a designer who lives in Alaçatı, gave each of the 25 rooms its own look; Polimeks did the building work. The Classic rooms keep the original stonework, arched windows and fireplaces. The Premium rooms are lighter, with pale wood, contemporary art and terraces.

  • The garden Breakfast under the fruit trees or on your own patio, and summer evenings with a DJ, small plates and local wine.
  • Miboso Spa A sauna, steam room and massage rooms, with yoga and Pilates classes and a gym.
  • In the old town The hotel stands in the lanes of Alaçatı, within walking distance of its restaurants and shops.
