The hotel

A working farm on the valley side.

Inkaterra has worked in Peru's forests and mountains for decades, and this is its hotel in the Sacred Valley. The main house follows the lines of a colonial hacienda, its rooms set around a courtyard behind tall windows. Stone and eucalyptus trunks hold up the roof. Inside are colonial furniture, Andean textiles and Inca masks. The estate covers about forty hectares of hillside at kilometre 63 of the valley road.

Twenty-four casitas came later, built on the slope behind the house, each with a fireplace and a terrace facing the mountains. Below them, about four hectares are farmed by hand and with oxen: quinoa, giant Urubamba corn, potatoes and herbs, and guests may pick produce for their own dinner. In October 2025 the MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel two Keys among Peru's first.

  • The farm Guests can walk the plantation and pick their own produce, which ends up on the dinner menu.
  • Walks from the door Excursions included in the stay go up the mountain at dusk, out to watch birds and along the Challa Huasi trail.
  • MAYU Spa Four treatment rooms, a hot plunge pool and a dry sauna, using natural products.
