The hotel
A family house with thirteen rooms.
Casa Legado is a 1950s Art Deco house in Quinta Camacho, a residential pocket of Chapinero just south of the Zona T. The family that owns it renovated it in 2019 and kept the original architecture. Each of the thirteen rooms was designed with a member of the family in mind and carries a first name, from The Laura, the largest suite, to The Tito and The Valentina, and no two are decorated alike.
It runs more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Nine living areas, a library, a garden and a courtyard are shared, and so is the dining table. The kitchen stays open at all hours, with snacks and drinks included, and there is a short menu at lunch and dinner. For a day out of the city, the house also arranges visits to La Ramada, a two-bedroom farmhouse about an hour away.
- The open kitchen The fridge and pantry are open to guests day and night, snacks and drinks included, and the cooking is left to the house.
- La Ramada A two-bedroom farmhouse about an hour outside Bogotá, for a day trip or a night in the country.
- The whole house Casa Legado can be taken over entirely, for up to 32 guests.
