The hotel

Bungalows off Motu Tehotu.

Four Seasons opened here in September 2008, on Motu Tehotu, one of the coral islets that ring the Bora Bora lagoon. The architects Didier Lefort and Pierre-Jean Picart set the bungalows over the water under thatched roofs, while the studio BAMO did the interiors, the spa and the restaurants. From the decks, the view runs across the lagoon to the main island and Mount Otemanu.

There are 115 keys in all: 108 bungalows on stilts and seven villas on land with their own pools and gardens. Twenty-seven of the bungalows are suites with a plunge pool. In the protected Ruahatu Lagoon Sanctuary, resident marine biologists show guests the reef and take them coral grafting. The MICHELIN Guide gave the resort two Keys in 2025 and again in 2026.

  • Ruahatu Lagoon Sanctuary A protected stretch of lagoon for snorkelling, where the resort's marine biologists explain the reef and run coral grafting.
  • Te Mahana Spa Seven treatment rooms, two open-air pavilions and a couples' suite over the water, under a ceiling 22 metres high.
  • Clubs for every age Kids For All Seasons for small children, and a separate programme for teenagers.
