The hotel
Tents on the edge of the park.
Longitude 131° opened in June 2002 on the dunes at the edge of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, with tented pavilions designed by Philip Cox. A fire went through the camp in 2003 and it was rebuilt. Each tent carries the name of an explorer or pioneer of the outback, with framed artefacts that tell their story next to Aboriginal art.
Baillie Lodges bought the camp in 2013 and renovated it in 2017, adding the Dune Pavilion, the only room that sees both Uluru and Kata Tjuta. The Dune House holds the restaurant and bar, and in 2026 it doubled as a studio for artists of Ernabella Arts. In 2026 the MICHELIN Guide gave the camp two Keys.
- Table 131° Dinner served outside under the stars, part of every stay.
- Spa Kinara Its name means the moon. Treatments draw on Aboriginal massage and native ingredients such as irmangka-irmangka.
- Dune Top A raised spot above the camp with a plunge pool and views to Uluru and Kata Tjuta, used for sunset drinks and private dinners.
