The hotel
A nickname on Blue Jays Way.
Bisha was the childhood nickname of Charles Khabouth, the Toronto nightlife figure whose INK Entertainment developed the hotel with Lifetime Developments. It opened in 2017 in the lower floors of a 44-storey tower by Wallman Architects, with 259 apartments above. Alessandro Munge of Studio Munge did the interiors, starting with a lobby of marble, onyx, velvet and gold, and Kravitz Design, Lenny Kravitz's firm, took a floor of its own.
In March 2025 Sunray Group bought the building and the hotel joined Marriott's Luxury Collection as BISHA, the first hotel of that brand in Canada. INK still runs it. The MICHELIN Guide, which still lists it as Bisha Hotel Toronto, gave it one Key in 2024 and kept it in the 2026 selection. There are four places to eat and drink, from the French Made café to KŌST on the 44th floor.
- KŌST On the 44th floor, cooking from the California coast and the Baja peninsula, with the rooftop infinity pool beside it and the city below.
- Two design hands Every room is by Studio Munge or by Kravitz Design, whose rooms lean darker and more rock and roll.
- Akira Back The chef's first restaurant under his own name in Canada, Japanese cooking with Korean touches.
