The hotel
A base for the Gauja valley.
Segewold was the German name of Sigulda, the town above the Gauja valley where the Livonian Brothers of the Sword raised a stone castle in the Middle Ages. The hotel takes that old name, spelt Segevold, and sits on Mālpils iela, inside the town. It belongs to the Good Stay group, which gives it the GS in its name.
It is a hotel for active days. There is a room for storing bicycles and skis, free parking, and a spa to come back to: a pool with cascades and back-flow, a jacuzzi, a steam bath, a sauna and themed showers. A conference hall for seventy and three smaller meeting rooms bring groups in the working week. Some rooms have a balcony or a French balcony.
