The hotel
Old townhouses by St Lazarus.
The hotel joins old Cypriot townhouses on Adonidos Street into a single four-storey building. The stone arches and vaulted ceilings were kept, and you enter the lobby through one of the arches. Outside is the Agios Lazaros quarter, with the ninth-century Church of St Lazarus and the medieval castle a short walk away, and Finikoudes beach and its palm-lined promenade beyond.
It opened in July 2020 as the first Hotel Indigo in Cyprus, run by Sunnyseeker Hospitality for Quality Group under the IHG brand. Each room is different. Raw concrete walls meet brightly coloured textiles woven on the island, light wooden furniture and original Cypriot floor tiles, and the balconies have yellow shutters in the old Mediterranean way.
