The hotel

A ski lodge, drawn again.

The Kitzhof takes the old furniture of the Alpine lodge, the antlers, the pine and the framed ski photographs, and sets it in clean modern rooms. Old wood sits next to glass and loden. Many rooms look across the roofs of Kitzbühel, and some face the mountains. The MICHELIN Guide gave the hotel a Key in its first Austrian selection and kept it there in 2026.

It stands on Schwarzseestraße, near the town park, five minutes on foot from the centre and about ten from the Hahnenkamm and the Streif. In late January the Hahnenkamm race fills the town; summer is calmer. On fine days meals move out to a terrace beside a waterfall and a pond, looking across to the Kitzbüheler Horn.

  • The terrace Breakfast, with champagne, and dinner outside in summer, beside the waterfall and the pond, facing the Horn.
  • Kitz Spa An indoor pool of 15 by 5 metres looking onto the garden, saunas, a steam bath and a fitness room, with treatments by Susanne Kaufmann and Ericson Laboratoire.
  • Race week The Hahnenkamm and the Streif are about ten minutes away on foot, so the race weekend in late January is within walking distance.
